Introducing Teen Open Mic (TOM) for Summer of ’25!
Musical teens are invited to a special open mic just for teens at Arizona Music Pro. TOMs will be held monthly on three Saturday afternoons during the summer months – June 7, July 5 and August 3 from 3PM to 5PM. This is an opportunity for young musicians ages 13-17 to share their musical chops and practice performing on a stage through a PA. Playing at an open mic is a fun, low-stakes, motivator for any musician to continue to develop their skills.
We love original music but covers are OK to play too. We welcome all kinds of musical or lyrical expression and can accommodate up to four people on stage at once. All material must be CLEAN – no curse words, behaviors or inappropriate references. We will provide a keyboard and drum kit. Guitar players should bring their own instruments with a guitar strap. If guitars don’t have a pick up installed, we can mic them. Singers are welcome to sing along with a background track. We also welcome spoken word. Participants can play up to three songs or no longer than 15 minutes.
To sign up to play, complete the form below or sign up in person at 2:30PM day of TOM.
Note: signing up in person or online will require agreeing to a set of rules and expectations concerning behavior in the store and material that is performed. All performances must be CLEAN – no inappropriate references, behaviors, or language. Participants must demonstrate a high level of maturity and respect toward TOM producers and employees of AMP. Participants will not handle any instruments or products in the store without a parent attending. Parents may drop off kids but must be available to pick up if a behavior issue comes up.
